More Information:
In this peaceful class and environment, you will learn to set-up the loom, and weave off a project of your own design. A 20 year weaver, Cherri Hankins has taught at many art centers, and residential art camps. She invites you into her fiber arts studio to explore the joys of weaving on a loom.
Whether your interest is for use of a floor loom, a table loom, or a rigid heddle loom, you will find instruction to be personalized to your needs. Class registration includes "open-studio" time for working outside of class. Each student has the opportunity to complete a project in a month-long class, or to plan a project that will span several month-long sessions. When planning the project, the instructor will help you determine how long a project will take, so you are able to work it into your schedule.
The instructor is versed in creating and exhibiting both functional fiber pieces and non-functional "art" pieces.
Class meets weekly for 2.5 hours/week, for a total of 10 instructional hours/month.
Class fee: $150/month
Tues. morning class has 2 spaces available
