A free informal gathering, Mountain Music Jam Sessions, will be held from 6pm-9pm on Tuesdays at JMU's Memorial Hall in the Commons Area (old Harrisonburg High School) at South High Street(Hwy 42S) and Cantrell Avenue.
The all-acoustic jams are open to listeners as well as pickers of all ages and abilities. Mountain music includes old-time, bluegrass, gospel, and traditional country music.
The jam is sponsored by the JMU Music Department and the Shenandoah Valley Music Makers Association (www.svmmma.org).
